This morning I felt as I did the last time we were in Aruba and I agreed to go horseback riding with Debbie...proud that I did it for my BFF but in agony. The rock climbing has done us both in this morning so there will be no beach walk again this morning. Poor Debbie's hip and area where she had shingles is still giving her issues and she was hurting this morning so we just had coffee and our usual toast or bagels and tried to figure out what we wanted to do today. We did still want to go see the "Baby" Natural Bridge and as yet we have not found the way to Madam Janette's. We had crossed just about everything else off the list so we are getting to the end. Debbie wants to get some cigars for her son-in-law and her friend at home so shopping is also on the list as tomorrow we move to my unit at the Marriott. The only reason I am so anxious is that Debbie's unit is a studio and there is a bed and a sofa bed and the sofa bed is where I sleep. Anyone who has ever slept on one knows they are uncomfortable so I am anxious to get to my two bedroom unit and sleep in a real bed.
We know the direction we need to head now but decide to shop for the cigars first then we had to get more gas. We got $20 worth on Sunday so we have gone through that and need to put in more. Debbie is irritated when she comes out of the station as she was ignored while the locals chatted....island time.
Although we knew the general area of the bridge we still had a difficult time and went by the donkey sanctuary twice before finally finding the right road. We found the indian rocks and markings before we found the bridge. The Indian "wish gardens" are piles of small rocks and stones that are everywhere and are supposed to tell a story. They were fascinating and are everywhere on that side of the island.
We finally found Madam Janette's and realized it was farther away than we had originally thought which is why we couldn't find it. We stopped by the Marriott on the way back so that I could do a pre checkin and then we went to the casino there. We also went to the Occidental casino and although they had remodeled and put in all new machines that were really graphically awesome, they were tight and we left soon after arriving. Back home again by dark. Tomorrow will be moving day and we are going to go by and try to take Lois and Alyson to lunch as well so it will be a busy day.
